Profil Zaufany remains available
Profil Zaufany is an electronic identification service for dealing with Polish public authorities. It is distinct from the mObywatel app. It can be used to confirm identity and sign applications, including business-related applications.
Available sign-in methods
COI describes username-and-password login with SMS or mObywatel push confirmation, as well as supported online banking authentication. Available options depend on the profile settings. It is incorrect to say that every user must now use an e-dowód.
What changed for bank login
A refreshed version of Profil Zaufany began rolling out on 26 May 2026. Users who previously signed in through a bank but confirmed actions through another method, such as SMS or mObywatel push notifications, may need an alternative login method, such as a username and password or an e-dowód. Follow the message displayed by the official service. This is not a universal cancellation of bank login.
If you cannot sign in
- Open the official Profil Zaufany website and check service availability notices.
- Choose a method that matches your profile settings. Use the official account recovery process if needed.
- Check the profile expiry date and your contact details.
- Do not share passwords, SMS codes or push confirmations with intermediaries. Contact official support if the problem continues.
Information for foreign nationals
COI states that Profil Zaufany is available to people with a PESEL number and full or limited legal capacity. Having a profile does not automatically grant access to every document or feature in mObywatel. Check the requirements of the specific public service.
